Is Citadel Garden suitable for families?
Yes. The property has a wooden children’s playground, a private garden and green space, flexible sleeping arrangements and fully equipped kitchens — all just a few steps from the Citadel.
Which unit suits me: the studio, the apartment or the entire villa?
The studio (up to 3 guests) is ideal for a couple or a small family; the apartment (up to 6) for a family or a small group; and the entire villa (up to 9 guests) for large groups and extended families, when you book both units together.
Do you accept pets?
We accept only small pets that are clean, well trained and used to relieving themselves outdoors. Pets are not allowed on the beds or sofas, and guests clean up after them.
How close is it to Alba Carolina Citadel?
Citadel Garden is a short walk from Alba Carolina Citadel, so you can explore everything on foot without worrying about parking in the centre.
Can I visit the city on foot from Citadel Garden?
Yes. Alba Carolina Citadel, the cathedrals and the museums of the historic centre are all nearby, so you can stroll through Alba Iulia on foot and leave the car in the private parking on site.
Is parking free?
Yes. We offer free private parking within the property, with an automatic vehicle gate and CCTV monitoring.
Is the hot tub included?
No. The hydromassage hot tub is an optional extra, available for an additional charge. You can add it to your booking — we’ll confirm the current price.
Can I book the entire property?
Yes. The two units are in the same house and are connected by an internal door that is unlocked when the entire property is booked — up to 9 guests.
How does self check-in work?
Check-in is by self check-in, so you can arrive at a time that suits you. You’ll receive the access details before arrival.
Is it suitable for a weekend or a short stay?
Yes. With self check-in and its location next to the Citadel, Citadel Garden is just as suited to a weekend or a short getaway in Alba Iulia as it is to longer stays.
How many guests can stay in total?
The studio sleeps up to 3 guests, the apartment up to 6, and the entire villa up to 9 guests.
What is there to do nearby?
You can explore Alba Carolina Citadel along its six-gate route, the cathedrals and museums in the centre, and for extra days there are day trips from Alba Iulia into the surrounding area — the Trascău Mountains, Rimetea or Râpa Roșie. See the local guide for 1–7 day itineraries.
Is it worth coming to Alba Iulia on 1 December or during the festivals?
Yes. On National Day (1 December), the military parade passes right along the boulevard in front of the property, and throughout the year there are festivals such as the Apulum Roman Festival, Alba Fest and the Alba Iulia Music & Film Festival. Demand rises during these periods, so we recommend booking well in advance.
