Local guide
Alba Iulia local guide
The best things to do in Alba Iulia, from a single day to a full week: time in the Citadel, museums, walks and trips into the surrounding area. Staying by the Citadel, you get around on foot and spend less time travelling.
Alba Iulia is easy to explore on foot: Alba Carolina Citadel, the cathedrals and the museums are clustered in and around the fortress. For the extra days, day trips from Alba Iulia by car are within easy reach — the Trascău Mountains, Rimetea, Râpa Roșie or the nearby vineyards.
